FeME launches new webinar series: FeME Perspectives – Showcasing our people, practice, and purpose

News, Featured

Failure Modes of Engineering (FeME) is delighted to announce the launch of a new quarterly webinar series, FeME Perspectives: Showcasing our people, practice, and purpose.

This new series will provide a regular space to highlight the expertise, insights, and lived experience that already exist within the growing FeME Network. Each 30-minute session will feature a short 15-minute presentation, followed by 15 minutes of discussion and audience Q&A, creating an accessible and engaging opportunity to connect, reflect, and learn.

The first session will take place on Monday 16 March at 4:00pm (GMT) and will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. The session will also be recorded and shared on the FeME YouTube channel for those unable to attend live.

The inaugural webinar will reintroduce the FeME Network – its mission, values, and future direction – and will feature contributions from:

  • Dr Encarni Medina-Lopez, FeME Director, Senior Lecturer in Ocean Observation at the School of Engineering of the University of Edinburgh

  • Prof. Caroline Gauchotte-Lindsay, FeME Co-lead, Professor of Environmental Engineering at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow

  • Maty Tall, Chair of FeME’s Independent Advisory Board, accomplished power systems engineer and energy consultant, currently serving as a Manager at Deloitte Senegal, where she leads key projects in the firm’s Energy, Resources & Industrial practice.

Whether you are new to FeME or have been part of the network for some time, this session offers a valuable opportunity to reconnect with FeME’s purpose and hear directly from those shaping its work.
