Prof. Elena Gaura

Elena is an Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research at Coventry University.

Elena leads the institution’s international research partnerships and the Group’s strategy on Artificial Intelligence. Her career has centred on advancing inclusive, interdisciplinary innovation—from AI-enabled health and energy systems to capacity-building programmes that empower the next generation of researchers worldwide. She believes that engineering must be both excellent and equitable: driven by world-class research, yet responsive to the needs of communities often left behind by technological change.
