Prof.  Caroline Gauchotte‑Lindsay is Professor of Environmental Engineering at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow. Her interdisciplinary work bridges environmental biotechnology, systems thinking, and sustainability.

Caroline is an international leader in the field of sustainable remediation of polluted environments, applying cutting-edge analytical techniques and modelling tools to understand contaminant transformation in complex environmental systems. She collaborates extensively with chemists, engineers, and social scientists to develop holistic solutions to pollution and climate resilience challenges. Caroline is also an active advocate for inclusion in STEM and interdisciplinary research education.She is the current chair of the Royal Society of Chemistry’ Environmental Chemistry Group.
