Jeanne Michalon

FeME Earth Fellow

Jeanne Michalon is an Earth Fellow working with FeME 1: Education. She is doing a PhD in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. Her work investigates the isolation of circulating tumour cells from blood samples in microfluidics devices for early cancer diagnosis.   

After graduating from University of Glasgow, Jeanne became a mechanical engineer specialised in medical devices development. Her expertise lies in using computational fluid mechanics to inform device design. She is passionate about tackling the gender imbalance in engineering for better and reasoned innovation that fits the needs of our communities and the planet.
